The University of Chester recently unveiled upgraded en-suite accommodation across two of its main on-campus halls of residence.

Following improvements, en-suite halls Astbury and Fisher can now accommodate over 170 conference delegates during vacation periods, each boasting new decoration and fittings that enhance quality yet retain affordability.

To strengthen our extensive accommodation portfolio, our term-time 'student village' development at Church College Close has also been given a 200,000 face-lift. This project involved work to improve both the interiors and exteriors of the 28 units that constitute the site and means that they will be available to book as self-catered flats for summer 2009!

However, accommodation isn't the only area to have been upgraded. In addition, Molloy Hall Auditorium which seats up to 400 delegates, has recently had a 70,000 Audio Visual equipment upgrade. As a result, this venue now offers a massive 8 by 3 metre rear projection screen powered by two Sanyo XF70 (9000 lumen) multimedia projectors.

A new state-of-the-art public address sound system has also been installed for video, DVD and computer sound while new audience response microphones complete the package. Finally, a new lectern on the stage has an integrated AMX control panel to switch between AV equipment and to control the microphones and auditorium lighting with minimal effort.
