UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS APPOINTS NEW REFECTORY MANAGER |

The University of Leeds has strengthened its catering services team with the promotion of Fiona Rushworth, who has taken up the new post of retail services manager for the University’s largest catering venue, the refectory.
Fiona, who was previously residence manager at the University, takes up the new post after seven years managing catered accommodation sites across the university campus.
Fiona said: “I am delighted with my new role at the University and to be in involved in developing the retail services for the refectory. The University has recently invested £4.5 million in upgrading the facilities at the refectory, introducing a range of new catering options to provide customers with increased choice, and it’s my job to see that we to offer the highest levels of service.
“The new refectory is a flagship catering venue for the University. It has already attracted a lot of interest from other universities and has gained positive feedback from customers who are enjoying the new cutting edge service we are now able to offer.
“Our main objectives will be to carry on achieving customer satisfaction and provide an enhanced dining experience for the refectory. We’ll be looking to introduce new ideas all the time to keep our service fresh and exciting and will also be working towards a Nutritional Standards Award in the coming months.”
Fiona has worked within the catering industry for the past 20 years for a range of private and public sector organisations including W H Smith, Calderdale Council and Sutcliffe Catering before joining the University of Leeds in 2000.
