Saga clients attending university or college-centred holidays in 2003 have voted Trevelyan College as No. 1 destination. The College, part of the University of Durham, received consistently high customer satisfaction ratings for quality of accommodation and catering, with especially high marks for staff welcome and service.
Continuing the long-standing tradition of summer schools at Trevelyan College, University of Durham, Trevelyan will be running a new series of study weeks in September 2004, aimed at guests who enjoy courses with a high academic content, combined with quality accommodation and facilities.
Four courses will be on offer, centring on "Countryside and Landscape", Christian Heritage in Northumbria", and "Industrial History in the North East". The courses, for which numbers are limited, will include visits to local sites, guided walks and entertaining and informative lectures. A full-time courier will assist guests during their stay. En suite accommodation will be in Trevelyan's Macaulay Wing (ETC 3 Diamond Rated). The College is just a few minutes' walk from the historic centre of Durham City, and close to all major road and rail routes and airports.
