Edinburgh First has recruited 2 key members of staff to deal with the increasing amount of business heading to the University of Edinburgh. Joining a 13-strong team, Lorna Ball and Emma Rintoul will be your first points of contact for all new sales enquiries.
The expanding conference team at Edinburgh First reflects the growing level of interest in the University of Edinburgh as a conference venue for corporate business, associations and groups. The addition of Emma and Lorna to the conference team, reflects our commitment to increase business levels and ensures even more that clients receive an exemplary service from initial enquiry through to completion of the event.’
Edinburgh First’s venue portfolio comprises a unique range of buildings, from 18th century mansion houses, to modern, purpose-built meeting rooms. South Hall, the largest meeting room on the Pollock Hall site is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment. Available all year round this large, flat-floored, multi-purpose hall is able to accommodate up to 450 people for meetings, 300 for dining and 500 for receptions. The refurbishment includes complete re-decoration and new soft furnishings, full blackout facilities, the installation of thematic lighting, a sprung dance-floor and state-of-the-art kitchen facilities. Part of the Holland Complex, South Hall is supported by a large breakout area, capable of accommodating 160 theatre style and an ideal space for exhibitions, poster displays and catering plus three meeting rooms accommodating up to 30 each. A Green Room for speakers and members of the press is also available.
South Hall will be available for events at the end of June 2004; bookings are being taken now.
