Staff recently celebrated their training successes at Keele Conference Park’s Annual Awards Ceremony, held at Keele Hall. Simon Morris, University Secretary and Registrar presented over 80 awards, testament to the organisation’s philosophy of continuous staff development.
Individuals throughout the organisation took part in a wide range of courses during the past 12 months, covering subjects of specific relevance to the day-to-day operation, including: food preparation, food and drink service, first aid, basic food hygiene, licensing, housekeeping, customer service, risk assessment and management skills. In addition, Lillian Beresford and Gill Kaminski were presented with 25 year service awards and Dave Mewis received a 35 year service award.
Jenny Deaville, Director, praised the efforts of the staff and acknowledged the positive impact of the training programme on the operation over recent years. ‘I am delighted to see so many staff being recognised for their achievements. We are committed to ongoing investment in our people, which has most certainly helped to raise standards across the operation.’
Simon Morris thanked guests from Stoke-on-Trent College, partners in the delivery of much of the training and congratulated staff on their successes.
