CONFERENCE & HOSPITALITY OFFICE WELCOMES NATIONAL MEETINGS WEEK, 4th - 8th OCTOBER 2004

The Conference and Hospitality Office takes great pride in the extensive range of events it holds – everything from ˝ day meetings to 5-day residential conferences, from weddings to Christmas parties - and is busy booking and planning meetings and conferences throughout the year.

With this in mind, we are celebrating National Meetings Week to help increase awareness of the Conference facilities available at the University of Southampton. With over 200 meeting rooms and excellent catering – why look any further for your conference and meeting needs!

National Meetings Week was launched in 2001 to promote the effectiveness of meetings and events to the business community as a business tool, staff motivator and communications medium. The campaign is supported by celebrities such as Ricky Gervais, Matthew Pinsent Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Sven-Goran Eriksson, to name but a few!

Celebrations during National Meetings Week include hosting the Student Services “International Tea Quiz” for 500 new students. The Conference & Hospitality office are delighted to provide a range of teas from around the world.

We are offering a 5% discount on the Day Delegate Rate for any meeting or conference bookings made within National Meetings Week – so hurry you only have until Friday 8th October to book your meeting and claim your discount!!

We are also offering a free one-day meeting* in our lucky draw – email us (quoting “National Meetings Week”) with your contact details and meeting requirements and we will automatically enter you into our draw. The winner will be notified week commencing Monday 11th October.

* Day Delegate Rate items only – any additional items required will be charged for separately
