CONFERENCE ASTON IS OFFICIALLY BIRMINGHAM’S VENUE OF THE YEAR

Conference Aston’s impressive portfolio of conference and hospitality facilities has won the coveted accolade of Birmingham’s Venue of the Year 2004.

Media Today’s Business Achievement Awards are recognised not just regionally, but nationally, throughout Business and Industry. The awards acknowledge exceptional achievements by an organisation within their industry sector, demonstrating forward-thinking business concepts and an outstanding service or product offering.

Aston University is one of the Midlands leading academic venues and the Conference Aston brand has gained a deserved reputation for offering quality, year round, residential and non-residential conference and meeting facilities.

The Business Achievement Award for Birmingham’s Venue of the Year commends Conference Aston’s exceptional development as a one-stop-shop for meetings and events; offering choice and flexibility for both residential and non-residential corporate training, conference solutions and hospitality, that includes in excess of 1000 beds on campus, at the heart of Birmingham’s city centre.

The Award also acknowledges the vision of the brand to expand their offering further, with the development of Aston’s residential venue, the Management Development Centre.

The Management Development Centre is part of Aston Business School, which is ranked among the best in Europe and has recently commenced an ambitious £20 million expansion programme. The Management Development Centre will benefit greatly from the extension, which will double its capacity, with the addition of a further 80 bedrooms, giving a total 160 bedrooms and a dining room capacity of 260.

Lynne Snow is Head of Conference Services at Aston University. She was delighted to receive the Award from Media Today’s Denise White, commenting; ‘Conference Aston is about teamwork. I’m very proud to receive the Birmingham Venue of the Year Award on behalf of the Conference Aston team, because it acknowledges the dedication and professionalism of every member and our focus to offer a professional and versatile year round service, that specifically delivers choice, flexibility, quality and expert support, all without compromise.’
