In September, the University College London was named by the Sunday Times as "University of the Year 2004” acknowledging its' lead in academic research and teaching, and its' place as a global centre of excellence.
In October 2003 UCLs’ Residential Services Division was awarded "Hospitality Assured" status, the first University in central London to achieve this award from the Hotel and Catering Institutional Management Association.
UCL Residential Services are dedicated to improving standards and increasing the provision of accommodation offered to both students and visitors alike.
In March this year Residential Services launched a new web site, aimed at commercial groups, visitors and tourists (www.ucl.ac.uk/residences) and this has proved to be a great success, enabling prospective guests to see what residences are available during the summer months, and what services they offer.
It also gives customers the ability to send e-mail enquires directly to individual residences, thus making a booking much more easy and efficient for our customers.
