The University of Essex will shortly commence the building of a new lecture hall with a planned completion date of summer 2006. The sophisticated flagship building will
house two new theatres capable of holding 500 people each, but with the
facility to combine both theatres for events such as exhibitions,
conferences, examinations and Degree Congregations. The construction of two smaller seminar rooms is also planned, as well as an area for the serving of
catering for functions.
