| NEW CONFERENCE FACILITIES AT NAPIER UNIVERSITY, EDINBURGH |
The Conference and Lettings team at Napier University is proud to announce a brand new range of recently built and refurbished conference and meeting facilities. 2004 has been a year of great development at two of the University campuses, Craiglockhart and Craighouse.
With the redevelopment of the Craiglockhart Campus, Napier University can now offer two brand new, state of the art lecture theatres accommodating 200 and 400 delegates respectively. The feature of this multi million pound campus development is undoubtedly the “pod”, or more commonly referred to as the “egg” lecture theatre, which is built on concrete stilts with a back wall panel made completely of glass!
With additional classroom / seminar facilities and refurbished catering areas, Craiglockhart offers a superb location for conference organisers looking for a modern and unique venue. Enquiries are currently being taken for Craiglockhart, which will be available for hire from January 2005.
Craiglockhart is situated in the south west of the city of Edinburgh, with easy access to the city centre and the city by-pass. The campus is approximately twenty minutes from the city centre.
In the early period of 2004, Napier refurbished its main corridor of meeting rooms and renamed it the “Edinburgh Suite”. Comprising four meeting rooms of various sizes, the Edinburgh Suite is a flexible, beautifully presented combination of rooms suitable for a range of purposes from small, intimate boardroom meetings to medium size seminars that would comfortably seat 80 delegates.
All the rooms within the Edinburgh Suite have wonderful views over the city and the campus is again within easy access of the city centre and the city by pass.
Both campuses are non - residential, however the Conference and Lettings office has joined up with a comprehensive range of local guesthouses and hotels, which will be happy to offer delegates accommodation at preferential rates.
