VENUEMASTERS enjoyed a good show at International CONFEX 2005, held at Earls Court from 15th to 17th February. As an exhibitor VENUEMASTERS achieved its planned pre-show objectives, which included the opportunity to communicate with existing and potential members, raise the awareness of academic venues to the industry and above all generate over 300 qualified enquiries for it’s members.
VENUEMASTERS shared their stand over the three-day event with eleven of their member venues, including The University of Manchester, the University of Nottingham, the University of Bath, the University of Central England, the University of Portsmouth, the Royal Agricultural College, the University of Exeter, York Conference Park and the Cambridge Trio. Terry Billingham, Chief Executive Officer at VENUEMASTERS says, “I felt the exhibition went well for both ourselves and our members - we enjoyed meeting many new people and raising the awareness of what academic venues have to offer”.
In order to draw the crowds to the stand this year VENUEMASTERS hired magician Harry Robson who wowed passer-bys with his amazing card tricks.
VENUEMASTERS will be holding their own exhibition at the Business Design Centre, Islington on the 11th May 2005 where event organisers will be able to speak directly with over 60 academic venues.
