A multi-million pound investment in new residential and conference facilities at the University of Leicester is rapidly taking shape.
The first accommodation pavilion at The University of Leicester’s New Hall meeting, accommodation and dining development, is now complete, with others following close behind.
With completion set for September 2006 major works started on the facilities building over the Easter vacation, which will house three large meeting rooms accommodating up to 150 delegates. Two rooms can be divided in to smaller meeting areas offering organisers adaptable meeting spaces with natural daylight and flexible seating arrangements.
Alongside the exceptional meeting facilities the contemporary bar and balcony area provide organisers with an ideal area for pre-dinner drinks receptions and as a relaxation area following dinner, giving delegates ample opportunity to network.
Bedrooms, expected to be some of the best university accommodation in the country, are located in attractive circular pavilions and provide visitors with en suite facilities, internet and telephone access, refreshment facilities, toiletries, towel selection and all 574 bedrooms are accessible by lift.
The ‘New Hall’ located at the University Oadby residences can be used individually or combined with facilities across both the Oadby and City campus for much larger events.
Open for viewing from October 2006 and as a host to an array of conferences and visitors from April 2007 the ‘New Hall’ is already proving a popular choice with conference and event organisers. Call the University team on 0116 271 9933 to reserved space for your conference today.
