One of the most imaginative and creative refurbishments of a major university building in Britain has just been unveiled at King's College London. |
The southern part of the College’s Grade 1 listed building on its Strand Campus reopened on 24th April after a two-year £40million redevelopment.
This first phase forms part of a £500million strategy to transform the College estate and the project has restored the elegant features of the original 1830’s building whilst providing a first class environment for the 21st century.
The College is proud to present a brand new 250 seat lecture theatre, a suite of five tastefully restored flat-floored classrooms, new social and dining facilities including a formal dining and function room (seating 55) with views over the River Thames.
