| EXCITING NEW BUILDING AT VAN MILDERT COLLEGE |
Visitors to Van Mildert College have plenty to look forward to as work has now started on a superb 4-storey, 96 bedroom accommodation suite. The new building will complement the existing College within landscaped grounds. Bedrooms have been thoughtfully designed for conference needs. Each room will have ample desk space within a well-designed layout and a fully tiled en suite shower cubicle. Furnishings and fittings will be to a high standard and the facilities will be available to conference delegates during summer vacations.
A large, purpose-built and fully equipped seminar room for 80 delegates will be situated on the ground floor of the new building and this will be available for day meetings all year round. There will be a meeting room on each floor that will provide additional space for residential conferences. Lifts to all floors will ensure full disabled access plus improved access to the existing main building.
Van Mildert already has 30 en suite rooms rated Three Diamond by the English Tourism Council. It will soon boast some of the best accommodation in the University and will be able to welcome residential conferences of up to 200 delegates. Building work is scheduled for completion in September 2002 and the first residential conference booking for summer 2003 has been confirmed.
