| BIRMINGHAM LOOKING TO THE FUTURE |
Investment in student accommodation at the University of Birmingham, due for completion by summer 2004, should ensure more fantastic facilities for conference delegates. A new hall of residence on The Vale, in the leafy suburbs of Edgbaston, will provide over 230 en-suite bedrooms that can be let on a self-catering basis or with catering provided.
The University of Birmingham’s plans for the future don’t stop there. By 2005, Shackleton Hall, also on The Vale, will have been completely refurbished and made available to conference delegates. Plans for the refurbishment of the hall include a ‘hub’ where a range of branded food outlets will be available as well as a bar and a convenience store. 24-hour access to the hall is also going to be made available, allowing delegates to arrive at a time convenient to them.
