NORTHERN IRELAND

The Northern Ireland economy is thriving and new industries are being created. Cities are being revitalised with millions being invested in regeneration and there is a new cultural vitality, pride and optimism. Tourism is thriving too, with new visitors discovering the humour, hospitality, scenery and quality of life. Northern Ireland is also home to ‘The Giant's Causeway’, which is a World Heritage Site. Resulting from a volcanic eruption 60 million years ago, this is the focal point of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has attracted visitors for centuries. The University of Ulster is located in this region, with a number of campuses across the country. The Univerity’s administrative centre is located in Coleraine on the north coast, set in beautifully landscaped grounds. The campus also sits close to the holiday resorts of Portrush and Portstewart, with other campuses in Londonderry in the north west and Belfast in the south east.
