VENUE DESCRIPTION

Situated in the cosmopolitan heart of South-East London, Goldsmiths College offers a range of facilities suitable for almost any event. Just 16 minutes from Central London by train, the College has numerous modern lecture theatres, several period board rooms and halls, and a substantial, high quality residential provision. Our facilities are used extensively by a wide range of clients for activities ranging from meetings and seminars to rehearsals and dinners.

MEETING DESCRIPTION

A good variety including the Great Hall which seats 750, two period boardrooms (each holding around 30) and various classrooms and lecture theatres, many of which are equipped with full audio-visual facilities.

BEDROOM DESCRIPTION

Split over seven sites, all of which are in the immediate vicinity of the College, Goldsmiths has approximately 1000 single bedrooms, many of which are en suite. Full self-catering facilities are available throughout.

RESTAURANT / BAR DESCRIPTION

A variety of catering areas are available to suit functions ranging from small, intimate dinners to large receptions. The Students' Union has two bars on site, which are also avaiable for private hire.

LEISURE FACILITIES

Leisure facilities include a football pitch and two newly refurbished tennis courts/netball court. A sports hall and small weights room are located on site, along with a climbing wall. Nearest swimming baths - 20 minute walk.

SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS

Goldsmiths is less than 20 minutes from the theatres, bars and tourist attractions of the West End by train and close to the Oval, Maritime Greenwich and Canary Wharf. New Cross boasts the Venue nightclub; Greenwich attractions include cinema, theatre and numerous restaurants and bars.
