VENUE DESCRIPTION

Situated a couple of miles from the centre of the historic city of York and set in attractive parkland around a large lake, York Conference Park offers a wealth of facilities for conferences, exhibitions and events.

Over 1000 en suite and standard bedrooms are available on campus, and award-winning chefs offer a range of menus from self-service lunches to seated dinners. Together with assistance from our professional team, we will ensure your event is a success.

MEETING DESCRIPTION

A full range of meeting rooms are available from workshop rooms seating 10 delegates right up to an impressive tiered concert hall for 1190 delegates. To enhance your event, the Exhibition Centre offers 900sqm of space with adjoining lecture theatres and seminar rooms.

A comprehensive audio-visual support is available for all events.

BEDROOM DESCRIPTION

Over 1000 bedrooms are available on campus - all within just a couple of minutes' walk from the main conference facilities. All bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries.

RESTAURANT / BAR DESCRIPTION

York Conference Park offers a range of catering venues from traditional dining halls to contemporary cafe bars. Flexibility is the key, and our venues can be used for formal dinners, awards ceremonies, private parties and evening activities. Our award-winning chefs offer a range of menus from simple finger buffets to elaborate three course dinners to compliment your event.

LEISURE FACILITIES

Our own sports centre offers a range of activities including a cardio gym and weights room, squash and badminton. Specially discounted day membership is available at the York's 'Next Generation' health club, which is just a 15 minute walk from the campus.

DIRECTIONS

York Conference Park is situated a couple of miles south east of York city centre. Located on a major rail route, York is within a 2.5 hour journey from London, Birmingham and Edinburgh. There is a direct rail service to Manchester Airport and Leeds Bradford Airport is 40 minutes away by car. York outer bypass (A64) is a five minute drive away, making York Conference Park easily accessible from the A1, M1 and M62.

SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS

The historical city of York offers a variety of attractions, museums, festivals and special events to make your stay even more memorable. You can explore the history of the train at the National Railway Museum, or discover more about the Vikings at Jorvik. Alternatively, explore the setting for 'Brideshead Revisted' at Castle Howard or enjoy the breathtaking scenery on the nearby North York Moors.
