VENUE DESCRIPTION

As one of the UK's largest universities, we offer an excellent choice of meeting rooms, budget to hotel standard accommodation, full catering and audio-visual services. Meeting rooms are available year round with a few guest bedrooms available during term time. Easy access from the airport and motorways, and free parking on some sites, makes the University a convenient and affordable choice.

MEETING DESCRIPTION

100s of meeting rooms, ranging from boardroom style committee rooms for 12 up to the 1000-seater Armitage Centre available throughout the year. Meeting rooms include the use of an OHP, screen and writing surface. Some venues offer Internet access.

BEDROOM DESCRIPTION

The majority are single study bedrooms with washbasins, most of the en suite rooms have shower, wc & basin. Chancellors rooms all have baths.

RESTAURANT / BAR DESCRIPTION

We pride ourselves on the range of catering we offer, from buffets to silver service dinners, in a choice of settings including purpose-built banqueting suites and listed buildings.

LEISURE FACILITIES

Indoor swimming pool, astro turf pitches, two sports halls, pitches for football and rugby, and a fitness suite close to some of our Halls of Residence and Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre.

DIRECTIONS

University venues are 1 - 4 miles from city centre on an excellent bus route, close to motorway and rail links. Only 8 miles from Manchester Airport. Some venues offer free parking.

SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS

Tatton Park, Manchester United Football Club museum, Lowry Centre, Imperial War Museum, Urbis, the Print Works, Museum of Science and Industry. University owned Manchester Museum, Whitworth Art Gallery and Tabley House.
