The University of Salford's Peel Park Campus, located two miles to the west of Manchester City Centre, offers an excellent choice of conference and meeting rooms, on-site overnight accommodation - including 80 en suite rooms, a leisure centre with swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna, and parking facilities for up to 1000 cars. The Harold Riley Conference Suite, available all year round, is the ideal conference venue for up to 150. Salford Crescent Railway Station is situated on the edge of the Campus and Manchester's International Airport is less than 15 miles away.


At Salford we offer a rich diversity of venues suitable for conferences, seminars, lectures, presentations, exhibitions, examinations and concerts. All are centrally located on the main Peel Park Campus and close to our residences, restaurants and leisure facilities. Here are just a few examples:- Chapman Theatres - 5 lecture theatres with seating capacities ranging from 150 - 500. All 5 are housed in the Chapman Building, which also has a Gallery, ideal for exhibitions. Maxwell Hall - a large flat hall with a stage which seats up to 1054. With excellent audio-visual facilities, the Hall is an ideal venue for annual General Meetings, Company Presentations, conference Plenary Sessions and Exhibitions. Peel Hall - an elegant Victorian Concert Hall with tiered seating for 300.


All of our bedrooms are en suite or have wash basins. All our halls of residences have fully equipped kitchen and dining room areas. All accommodation areas are just a short walk across the main lawn to University House – home to the main restaurant, cafeteria and bars.


In University House we have a comfortable restaurant with seating for up to 168, Milliways Café seats 250, a suite of luxurious private dining rooms and a comfortable lounge bar. There are also several snack bars and cafes dotted about the Campus.


The Leisure Centre, situated on Peel Park Campus offers a wide choice of indoor sports, including volleyball, badminton, squash, aerobics. The climbing wall is reputed to be the best in the region and there is also a swimming pool with Jacuzzi and sauna. The gymnasium is fully equipped with running tracks, rowing machines, exercise bikes and weight training equipment. Residential guests are welcome to make use of all these facilities during their stay.


Located one and a half miles from Manchester City Centre, the University (which is in central Salford) is easily accessible from all parts of the UK: it is close to an extensive network of roads and motorways (M60 J17 2 miles) and Salford Crescent train station is on campus. Manchester International Airport, offering frequent flights to London Heathrow, the rest of Europe and major international cities, is less than 15 miles away.

The University's attractive landscaped Peel Park Campus is situated in 34 acres of parkland on the banks of the River Irwell. The Campus has an excellent range of facilities including concert halls, lecture theatres, conference/meeting rooms, restaurants, bars, a leisure centre, banks, a bookshop and a general store. Offering superb facilities, the University is a popular venue for conferences, seminars, training sessions, meetings, exhibitions and corporate entertaining. Each enquiry merits individual attention and the Conference Office take particular care to ensure that the best possible package is offered to every organiser.
