VENUE DESCRIPTION

A wide variety of flexible venues from city centre to leafy Victorian outskirts. Large residential conferences of up to 500 can be accommodated just 250 metres from Piccadilly rail station. The wider campus offers many more possibilities with more than 1000 en suite bedrooms and two comfortable year round conference hotels. We have extensive experience of running large-scale conferences & events including sporting events.

BEDROOM DESCRIPTION

City centre to outskirts (max 3 miles) with over 190 hotel standard bedrooms available year round with direct dial phone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. All Sackville Street bedrooms have Internet access. In total, we have over 1,750 en suite and over 4,200 standard bedrooms.

MEETING DESCRIPTION

Large range of quality meeting facilities. Tiered seating for up to 1000 and 100s of smaller theatres and meeting rooms. The Manchester Conference Centre is a 117 bedroom, 3-Star hotel with air-conditioned theatres and meeting rooms. Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre has 75 hotel bedrooms, a plenary for 100 and 8 syndicates. The wider campus offers huge possibilities with extensive conference, banqueting and sports facilities as well as dedicated IT training suites. RESTAURANT / BAR DESCRIPTION

City centre: 600-seater Barnes Wallis restaurant, 120-seater Harwood restaurant and 200-seater restaurant in the Manchester Conference Centre.
Whitworth Hall seats up to 300 and Christies Bistro seats 100 for formal dinners.
There are many more facilities within the halls of residence and at Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre for up to 300.

LEISURE FACILITIES

The Armitage Centre adjacent to the Fallowfield venues offers facilities for badminton, squash, volleyball, 5-a-side football and a fitness suite. The Manchester Aquatics Centre which was the swimming pool for the 2002 Commonwealth Games (on the main campus), offers special rates for delegates.
