VENUE DESCRIPTION

Set on a beautiful campus the University of Exeter provides state-of-the-art residential conference, exhibition and meeting facilities. Exeter offers the complete conference solution; exhibition management and stage production, on-line conference registration, delegate and partner programmes. New for 2005 - The University of Exeter in Cornwall!! Ask about this fantastic campus located just outside Falmouth. With exhibition, catering and conference facilities all located in one building and 500 en suite bedrooms situated on-site, this is going to prove a very popular venue!

MEETING DESCRIPTION

Our largest auditorium has the capacity to seat between 400-1500 delegates. To compliment this area there is a purpose built conference and exhibition centre, together with additional meeting rooms seating from 2-350 delegates many of which can be video linked and extensive exhibition facilities. The University also has a year round residential conference centre catering for 120 delegates. A full range of audio visual equipment and technical support is available.

BEDROOM DESCRIPTION

With residential accommodation for over 3000 guests and a choice of en suite, enhanced and standard bedrooms, the University of Exeter has a range of accommodation to meet all budgets. Each bedroom has a delegate work station, direct telephone, welcome tray, mini fridge or access to fridge facilities. There are currently over 600 ensuite bedrooms which will increase to 1200 in 2005 following the completion of the University’s continuing building development programme. Exeter also offers a hotel booking service.

RESTAURANT / BAR DESCRIPTION

Catering is provided both centrally and by each Residence. The University catering team are renowned for their outstanding cuisine. They only use the freshest of local ingredients, many from the University of Exeter Estate Gardens and aim to prepare imaginative home cooked dishes. Menus will be discussed with you and we will take into account special requirements such as diet or culture. To compliment the cuisine the University imports many fine wines direct from vineyards all round the World, providing outstanding value for money.

LEISURE FACILITIES

Sports facilities which rank among the best of British universities can be found on the campus. The facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools (subject to availability), Badminton, Squash, Table Tennis, Indoor Football, Indoor Basketball and outdoor Tennis. There are also sand and water based all weather pitches suitable for visiting groups. A range of activities can be arranged including exercise classes, ultra-fit challenges, mini-leagues and competitions or even group indoor climbing sessions.

DIRECTIONS

The Cathedral city of Exeter is a 10 minute walk from the campus. Exeter’s mainline railway station is a 5 minute drive and there is easy access to the M5 motorway and Exeter International Airport. Rail: There are excellent services from London Paddington, London Waterloo, Birmingham, Bristol and Waterloo - all within 2 hours reach of Exeter. Road: The M5 links from Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham and all points along the M4 corridor to London. Air: Exeter and Bristol International Airports provide excellent links into Devon from European and Worldwide destinations. Sea: European ferry services are provided from Plymouth to France and Northern Spain.
