Many venues are historic locations like the Georgian mansions in Clifton or the dramatic neo-gothic Great Hall in the Wills Memorial Building. There are plenty of venues available in contemporary buildings too and, as you’d expect of a leading University, all sites offer comprehensive access to modern facilities.
Chemistry Building: Provides four lecture theatres (max 339 seating) with audio-visual and computing equipment and two foyers for catering and exhibitors.
Merchant Venturers Building: There are plenty of meeting rooms, catering for groups of 30 to 98. The lecture theatre holds 200.
The Hawthorns: With an in-house professional catering team, which is very experienced at catering for a wide range of tastes and budget, it is easy to see why The Hawthorns is a popular choice.
Victoria Rooms: Has a 665 seat auditorium and several function rooms.
Wills Memorial Building: Groups of between 60 and 270 can be seated, which means there is plenty of capacity for even the largest events.
Badock Hall: Ideal for up to 350 guests for a buffet or self-service meal and up to 280 guests.
Wills Hall: If you want atmosphere, space and a great location, Wills Hall, as one of the University’s best kept secrets, is the perfect venue for a conference.
Goldney Hall: Perfect for up to 150 guests for a buffet or self-service meal and up to 110 guests for a formal meal.
Clifton Hill House: Used for functions and meetings all year round and boasts elegant Georgian reception rooms, a print gallery and foyer.
The University offers excellent venues for conferences, meetings and social events. By virtue of its role as a centre of leaning and research, the University has over 200 meeting rooms including:

Comprehensive audio-visual facilities, computer sites and advice, facilities for multimedia presentations and an extensive catering package are available at all venues.
Accommodation for groups and residential events >>
Group accommodation is available in the Halls of Residence during the summer vacation period. Self catered accommodation can be offered in modern architectural award winning flats in acres of listed gardens in elegant Georgian Clifton or Downsland settings north of the city. We have en suite rooms available in our Hiatt Baker and Durdham residences in Stoke Bishop and Goldney Hall in Clifton Village.
Alternatively, catered accommodation is also available in bedrooms ranging from standard or en-suite student accommodation in the same locations. Available facilities include:

Bristol's character as a city has been largely formed by its history of maritime trade and its development as the commercial and cultural centre for the South West. The River Avon runs through the city, with the historic City Docks as a focal point. Shops, pubs and cafes border the quayside in restored warehouses.
