Located in one of Europe’s greatest heritage cities, the University of Chester offers a wide range of event venues – from lecture theatres for over 300 delegates, to small meeting rooms. And there’s superb accommodation for your residential events.

Why Chester for your next event? As well as outstanding facilities, the city and its university offer inspiring surroundings full of Roman history, world class attractions, and excellent sports facilities on campus. And it’s all easy to reach for your delegates, being just a mile from the M56 motorway.

Tailor the perfect space with almost 200 meeting rooms
The meeting and conference facilities at Chester are incredibly versatile. The university has three campuses: the main campus in Chester itself, the Riverside Campus just outside Chester, and the Warrington Campus near Manchester. Lecture theatre capacities range from 42 to 310, while a large number of seminar rooms provide complementary spaces.

Chester’s state-of-the-art facilities allow it to host diverse events such as language schools and sports tournaments, in addition to popular conference and meeting formats. A range of audio-visual equipment is available as standard, room layouts can be adapted to your needs, and the Conferences team will do their best to meet any specific requirements you might have.

Accommodation for over 400 delegates
Available during summer and Easter, Chester’s halls of residence offer accommodation for hundreds of delegates. There’s lots of choice on where to stay, from the 14 self-contained houses of Church College Close to Hollybank Court’s 50 modern en suite rooms. The vast majority of Chester’s accommodation is located on campus, just yards from its event venues. Specially adapted rooms are available for visitors with disabilities.

Accommodation at Warrington is all on-campus and includes 44 en suite rooms, plus many more with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Warrington accommodation is only available during summer. Read more about where to stay at the University of Chester >>

The location of the Chester campuses offers your delegates the best of all worlds. They’re just a few minutes’ walk from the picturesque city, with its Jacobean-style architecture and historic attractions. Convenient motorway, rail and air links make getting there easy. Yet the campuses themselves are quiet and relaxed, ideal for soaking up the atmosphere of your events. The Warrington campus is less than an hour from the main campuses by train or car.
